Installing Canon printer on computer
« on: November 15, 2005, 12:12:28 AM »
Hello all,

I just had a computer built for me and I am trying to install my Canon Multipass C755 onto it. However, everytime I attempt to start the process (ie; run installation disk) it reads that I have an image on Windows that is not valid. What is a "bad image" ? I have windows XP and have downloaded, from the Canon site, the correct drivers for the printer. I just can't get past this "bad image" , "not valid image" thing. SOmeone please help. Also it states that the bad image is located at C:\windows\system32\cisif.dll.

peace

Poetik:

Bad Image = Bad Disk Image

In other words, your CD is dirty or damaged.  Check for scratches or smudges.  If it is dirty, wipe it gently with a soft cloth (not a tissue or other paper product) from the center to the edge in a straight line (not in circles).

If that doesn't work, get another CD from the manufacturer, or download the correct drivers for your version of Windows from the Canon website.

Best regards,
Doc
