Perhaps I should elaborate more. When I first installed the printer, I could click on properties and get the Epson menu which allowed me to choose any paper type or print quality setting I wanted. But even if I set this menu to plain paper and economy printing, whenever I tried to print a jpeg, Windows shows it's own menu with limited options. This is no good for the work I do. Now that windows has updated the driver with it's own windows version (which I did not authorize), I can no longer even pull up the Epson menu by clicking on properties in devices & printers. It seems Windows knows better than I what I wish to do with my printer.
