    RV082 VLAN
    « on: October 13, 2015, 12:09:11 PM »
I need a solution to provide 'guest' internet access to people who come in and want to use their laptops on our network. We have an RV082 router which offers port based VLAN. I switched one of our ports (port 4 ) to VLAN2. I then plugged our WAP (Wireless Access Point) into that specific port. I am able to get an IP address assigned through DHCP on the WAP, however when I connect to the WAP, it says "no internet connection". How can I resolve this?

Do you have a reference or document you are using?
Here is the general method I use.
Set the AP device to have a different sub net.
Plug the AP in the one of the LAN ports.
    Let the AP handle DCHP.
    Works for me.

Thanks I was able to get it done, however I have another issue.  My WAP is on a 172.16.2.0/24 Network and my Production Network is on a 172.16.0.0/24 Network. There is an app that is on the 172.16.0.0/24 network that I need my WAP clients to get to.  Is it possible with this router?
