    Hi, i'm looking to upgrade my CPU but not getting any information on how far i can upgrade it. Its an Intel G645 2.29mhz.

    My specs are HP Pro 3500 MT Desktop
    Intel G645 2.29mhz
    4 GB DDR3 RAM
    Intel HD Graphics

    You need to find out which MBoard is in that PC...thats what determines what upgrades you can do.

    Keep in mind however with Branded PC's the MBoards they used didn't always have many upgrade options.

      The manufacturer is Foxconn, its an Intel Sandybridge and Southbridge is Intel H61

      So very true... an eMachine I have wouldnt take a CPU greater than 2.00Ghz and only upgrade was the original Celeron 2.00Ghz to a Pentium 4 2.00Ghz which did increase performance but wasnt the 3.00Ghz with HT I wanted. I even tried a 2.4Ghz and a 2.66Ghz Pentium 4 and they wouldnt post even though the CPUs were healthy. *Its as if eMachines bought motherboards that only supported microcode for a limited build for a few models that used that TriGem Imperial 2002_1111 board.

        There was a line of Dell P4 PC's that i did a bunch of work on years ago...i counted 5 different MBoards for 1 Model# Dell.

        You May Be in Luck...

        I would still DLoad the MBoard Manual and/or contact Foxconn...
