Computer Hope Profile Re Windows 10
    « on: November 12, 2015, 08:04:10 AM »
I have updated from Windows 7 to 10.  After several months I can say that Windows 7 is far better.

But to the item at hand. I went to the profile page to change my "Operating System" to Windows 10 and found that the "drop down" does not offer Windows 10 as one of the choices. Just letting you know.

This may depend on how Windows 10 was installed. If you took the upgrade package, it will overwrite your previous OS and update the Windows 7 install, you wouldn't be able to revert back from that. Microsoft tends to not like reverse compatibility with it's OS's.   :)
When Henry Ford was asked what else he would have liked in his first Ford Model-T, he said "more horsepower and a beer holder."

    What a boss.

Any comments on why you think that?

One of the major problems is that I can't find things. It took me several months to learn that I could right click on the lower left icon and get some MS-7 information including the CONTROL PANEL.

Latest problem (not yet solved) is having a page displayed on EDGE, and simply wanting to print that page. I tried for 20 minutes unsuccessfully. couldn't fine the MS-7 equivalent of FILE (dropdown), PRINT. How do you print an EDGE displayed page?

The problem is that you are looking- That's a habit that does well in Windows 95 through XP, but starts to be less efficient from there. The ideal approach is to not bother remembering where things are- let Windows do the work, and use Windows Search. (eg, for Control Panel- Windows Key, type "Control" and "Settings" appears as a result.

Upper left corner, click the ". . ." button, then select "Print this page". Or Press Control+P.
