I installed a new RAM and now my laptop is showing BSoD.
    « on: February 26, 2016, 12:09:25 PM »
I just upgraded my old old memory from 1 GB to 4 GB(2x2GBs). For the first time it was fine but when I opened it in the evening, it showed Blue screen after an hour or so and the next time it showed it in less than 10 min. This is the fourth boot. Nothing happened in safe mode(I used a shredder to keep it awake for half an hour).
Also, my USB dongle stopped working too( It was showing No device in the software but was showing the card in USB).
Then I uninstalled it, it did not work until I rebooted the laptop.
Is it the RAM or something else? Please help.

here is a scan i ran on crucial
      http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/scanview/94334B4E31D926C3
it shows the ram and laptop make. It says 240 Pin DIMM ram on the sticks.
Also, the ram is different from what it showed on the website, got hynix instead of crucial, i have complained to them and they have told me they'll look into it.
Also various other issues are going on, all the browsers are crashing periodically.
I think that i'll be able to get a refund.
