Hope this is the right place to submit this problem.  Whenever I try to open Hotmail using Outlook Express I got the message: "Unable to poll for new messages on your HTTP server.  Account: 'CMP-Hot', Server: 'http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Authorization Required', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC32".
Browsing Internet I found a supposed solution for that problem (IE > Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites > Allow hotmail.com in Address or web site) that I implemented but it did not work. So I do not know wwhat else to do. Any ideas?

Do you mean download your emails from Hotmail to Outlook Express?

You have to subscribe to this service setting up a http account instead of the pop.

I have had a Hotmail acount that I have manage through Outlook Express for years and it always worked fine. Now I cannot open Outlook Express. Whenever I try to I got the warning I mentioned in previuos message.

Do you use free hotmail account?  Hotmail no longer allows to use Outlook Express for free accounts. I had the same tragedy.

Yes, mine is a free Hotmail account.  Since when did that rule start?  I haven't received any notification about. Thanks for letting me know.

I didn't get any also. But they did it.  I have  encountered this problem  not recently. When did it stop in your Outlook?

in the new version of microsoft office, you will get a free account in outlouk for checking your hotmail emails in outlouk (if you buy it)

Why do we need to use hotmail in outlook?
I use hotmail only to get subscription activation mails and newsletters etc  

Gmail work fine with Outlook with more than 2.5 GB inox.
