Malwarebytes deleted my documents

Running Windows XP have completed all the steps listed in this thread with no luck of recovering my lost files, is there anything else I can do?  http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php?topic=126979.0

You title says that MBAM deleted your documents. That is very highly unlikely. How do you know your documents have been deleted?

Initially i ran the scan it found files that said were threats so I proceeded to remove them but after the reboot all the files in my docents folder had been removed.  So after following the steps in the other thread the files are still missing.  I tried to PM you to open the old thread with no luck   I was looking for more advice before I reformat.

Finally found the files is C:\Users

Why were these files moved from my documents folder on the start menu?
