    New system

my dell dimesion 5100 (wxp) is not 2 months old.  i have been on the fone w/ mcafee (pre-installed "security center") almost every other day w/ a problem of configuration (which they admit).  it boils down 2, "limit your time on the net because you are not protected."         my business IS the net.      i received an email from them informing me that they would be removing the program after 90 days unless i wanted 2 purchase it.  they don't have 2 wait 90 days...     what do you think of norton's intrnt. security 2006 or zonealarm's intrnt. sec. suite?

Delete McAffee and then download, install and update:

    AdAware
    AVG Antivirus
    Spybot

All are free. Just google search and get them! If you need a firewall, those can be found for free as well!

The WinXP firewall only checks incoming data...does nothing for outgoing such as dialers etc.

There are a few free Firewall programs out there.
