Mouse assembly
« on: November 25, 2005, 09:36:49 AM »
i took apart my mouse to clean it out, but a spring popped out that looks like a spring with two wires shooting out at both ends.  Never saw where it came from so i dont know how to put it back in.  Im pretty sure it has to do with the rolling wheel. any ideas?

     :D :D :D

How many palces are there in your mouse? Is it too big that you can not "assemble"?

May be it's time to buy new one?
Try every hole in the mouse to see where that spring fits.

I believe you 'll make it.    ;)

Since im sure everyone was waiting to see how it all turned out, after a last try to figure out where it went i was successful.  It wasnt a necessary part, just added some more spring action when clicking the scrolling wheel.

I was cleaning my mouse and also failed to note the position of the two little springs that aid the scrolling wheel. I finally found the following site, whose photos helped me position the springs immediately: http://www.instructables.com/id/SZ9WVUPF03FMNPH/

Downloading the pdf file gives the best instructions on positioning the springs and re-assembling the mouse.
