Time on the screen

Hi  -
I hope I can make my problem plain enough to understand.  When I have the computer on and something is on the screen, I might want to leave it on while  I check on something else.  If I do nothing  for one minute the screen goes black.  Of course if I move the  mouse it comes back on.  What I want is to increase the one minute to much longer. Where is the setting for this timing?  I am running Windows 7 and using IE  11.   Thanks     Bob

Check if your screen saver is set to Blank

Go to Control Panel, click on Personalization, and then click on Screen Saver at the bottom right. Check it is set to None.  Please report back what you found.

Thanks to you it worked fine.  My screen saver is labeled "blank". However there was a place to change the time so I gave it 5 minutes.  Works just like I wanted it to.  Thanks again     Bob

Laptops allow different settings for such things, depending on whether you are running on battery or are plugged in to an outlet.
