    Unwanted (+) sign in cells in excel

     When I download data from of the web to Excel I get  a + sign in the upper left hand corner of each cell

    Is there a way of removing this ?

      Select the cells in which you want to remove the signs, right click and in the format cells option, click the drop-down box to the right of Symbol, then click the None option.

      Is this problem solved? 

      Can you elaborate on the download technique and the format of the data downloaded?  Are you obtaining the data via a data download option on the website for downloading in common formats such as text or CSV, or are you just copying and pasting?
