When I boot up my PC I get an error message of not enough memory to run windows.

When I check the system it is only picking up 8mb

    TAB.....What version of windows are you using ?
    How much ram is installed in the pc....and is this something that just started ?

    Yes, I just had this old computer and several old parts so i decided tobuild a machine out of all these old parts.

    I am going to try to reformat the old hd and load 98SE.

    Swap memory sticks around and see if it will see more than 8 MB. You might have bad or slow RAM or lame slots on the MB.
