ZTree is a continuation of the XTRee Gold program that was probably the best file manager for DOS ever written...
By playing around and modifying things i was able to get XTRee Gold to run in all flavors of Windows and still use it everyday...

p.s. It's a very powerful program that you can easily bugger things with if you're not careful...

I'm not sure if it has a time limit on the download version, but I bought it years ago and have free upgrades ever since. I never regretted this purchase (for a Windows based box!)

If you are running Windows XP, make sure it i sactivated.   Otherwise you might try Try

Which is AVG.   Personally I have had problems with cheap or free firewalls.   I am now using PC-cillin by TrendMicro and am very happy with it.
You are much appreciated..     Thank you ,

Aorry,  I meant, check to see if the Windows XP firewall is active.   Get there thru network connections.
