The reason you may have not seen "intelligent suggestions" is that no pertinent information has been posted. To start with:
What version of Windows?
Are all service packs and updates installed?
Is this a cable or dial up connection? If using an internet accelerator, this can cause it.
What Browser?
What are the security settings?
What firewall?
Are you using spyware/adware/antivirus solutions so you are not getting any problem from internet scum?
Has it always been this way or is it a new occurrence?
How computer savvy are you?
Now some of these have been answered since the original post, but getting pertinent info out of some posters is like pulling teeth.
There was a question to the original poster on 12/9 that has still gone unanswered. If they bail, we cannot track them down to follow up. If your situation is different, then post away.
So let's fill in all of the rest of the blanks and go from there. Your system may be different. That is why it is important to start a new thread and not just hijack someone else's.
