    Problems with opening ports
    « on: January 27, 2017, 12:08:13 PM »
    Hi everyone,
I had a question about ports ... excuse me if this sound so basic i really don't understand these kind of stuff... . So i have been trying to open 2 ports (443 and 5222) for gaming reasons but no matter how hard i try i fail. I forwarded the ports using my router (linksys has a special tab for application and gaming) and i also added a rule in my antivirus (ESEt NOD32) but i tried this site (canyouseeme.org) to see if i succeeded in opening them and it gave me this : Error: I could not see your service on [My IP Adress] on port (433)
I asked a few friends who had no problem with these ports to check it out and they both got the same error. I even checked the port 80 (which is usually open) and the site gave me the same error.
So here are my questions: Is it possible for the site to be wrong? are there any other secruity levels that check ports?and how can i forward these 2 ports?
Thank you so much for reading

Your ISP might be blocking ports. I have had to use different ports such as 8077 to get around ISP port blocking. Are you all using the same ISP to know if its an ISP block or a misconfiguration with your router.
