can we consider the data cable or the sometimes  called as ribbon cable that connect the hard drive to the IDE port in the motherboard as bus?

A bus by definition is any port that allows transfer of data from one device to another....

    That's in the computer world.

In the real world a bus is a vehicle of transport for people that you wind up waiting in the rain and cold for for over an hour.

In the Pittsburgh world a bus is something you ride on the back of that takes you to the playoffs every year.

    Clear enough ?

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.
