Low Volume
« on: December 08, 2005, 09:07:10 AM »
I just got a new computer, and for some reason the audio is extremely low. I have tried everything I could think of... the speakers are fine, I tested them on another machine... they are plugged into the right place... I adjusted all the system volume controls so that they're all the way up... I downloaded the newest drivers from the realtek website... but still nothing!

My soundcard is an onboard realtek ac'97. Anyone have any suggestions?

It doesn't seem like anyone here can help me, but if it matters, I just discovered that while playing games, the sound volume is fine. Argh I don't know what else to do!

    Start>Settings>Control Panel>Sounds...
    Check under schemes.
