    Slight Freezes After Update
    « on: December 11, 2017, 06:57:45 PM »
    Hello,

For some reason, after the recent Windows 10 update, my computer appears to be experiencing some sort of weird issue.

Sometimes, especially when playing games, my computer screen will freeze briefly, and then my system thinks my audio was unplugged and plugged back in, even though it was not. Then it will resume back to normal.

When doing simple web browsing, my computer's mouse will freeze briefly as well, and do the same audio problem

The freezes are usually less than two seconds and then my computer works fine. This repeats almost a few times every hour.

If this happened to me I would make a note of every time it happens (on the clock) and check the windows event viewer and try to correlate the event to messages in the event log from that time

I tried this last night and this morning. I wasn't able to find anything in the Event Viewer during the times the freeze happened.

I also tried to do a system restore to the computer's state before the Windows 10 update and that didn't work. And I also re-installed the graphics driver which didn't do anything either

Yes, but it is a Windows 7 Installation Disk. I used it and updated to the latest Windows 10.

if you want to reload Windows 10, make a bootable DVD or USB stick.
both can be done via the media creation tool, found here; https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
if you do reinstall, at the stage it says "enter your Product Key", leave blank and continue, Windows will auto-activate from the Win7 Key MS converted to your Win10 digital entitlement.
