Can't load driver for Teac cd 224E

Hi
When I try and use my cd-rom drive I get the error message
This device is not working properly because
Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device (Code 31)

I tried using windows help but that wasn't any help at all

    kd-33......Has you cd-rom ever worked ?  What operating system are you using ?

    Using win 2000 & it worked fine until 3 weeks ago
