Expect price increase on stuff from China.

A news report from Bloomberg says that the USA will put tariff on imports from China. Maybe this will mean higher price at the retail store.

"
The tariffs could take effect after public consultations end on Aug. 30, according to a statement from the U.S. Trade Representative’s office Tuesday. The proposed list of goods includes consumer items such as clothing, television components and refrigerators as well as other high-tech items, but it omitted some high-profile products like mobile phones.

Did I say it was news? Just something to ponder. If you are thinking about investing a lot of money into stuff coming from China, you may want to consider the possibility of getting stuff from some other source.

Are there any mother boards not made in China?
Does anybody in the western wold make power supplies?
Where do memory chips come from?

The link I gave suggests that smart phones might be an exception.  8)
But we already have four smart phones in this household.  :)
