Do you mean real MS-DOS or Windows cmd.exe?

We considered this about 7 years ago.

Ok, it looks by videocard and size only.
It looks it is not possible to define any font on harddisk.

I'm using DOS in notebook, now not new and I think its videocard can have multiple fonts - Compaq Evo N1000v.
But it is beyond my abilities...

Is possible to make change by any tool which can be started from AUTOEXEC.BAT ?

          Thank you.

          MIRKOSOFT,
          You have missed something.
Even after MS-DOS was released there was an effort by IBM to not have font as an option it an upcoming OS. Read Bill Gates Book Hard Drive.

The concept of adjusting font inside a Intel based PC OS was promoted by Bill Gates.
In other words, it is it is a major project, not an add-on.

Do yu wish to pursue this?
Explain why you must adjust font size in a small, primitive OS.

Here is a timeline of Microsoft Operating Systems.

Introduced in 1985, Microsoft Windows 1.0 was named due to the computing boxes, or "windows" that represented a fundamental aspect of the operating system. Instead of typing MS-DOS commands, windows 1.0 allowed users to point and click to access the windows.

So my gold is not resizing, goal is to replace font by custom.
            Nothing more, nothing less.

My point was the Bill Gates did it by creating Windows.
Somehow some think that  Windows is just an add on to DOS.
That is like saying a Harley-Davis  Motorcycle is and add on to a bicycle.  8)

There is a TSR program for DOS that can allow you to change the font in MS-DOS itself. You can find a bunch of different utilities here for that and similar purposes:

            http://www.lanet.lv/simtel.net/msdos/screen-pre.html

"mxxdrv10.zip  (920618) 181K  Custom Font/Video mode control TSR for EGA/VGA" looks like it may be promising.

Basically, In Text Mode the characters used to draw the screen can be altered in Memory. These can be customized by replacement. This is how different code pages are loaded by MS-DOS for example.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
