Taking a PC off the network - Windows 98
« on: January 10, 2006, 01:06:28 PM »
Please can someone tell me how to take a computer off the network so I can use it as a stand alone PC (so it doesn't ask you to log on) using Windows 98.

Thanks :)

hmm I swore someone asked this question before. Start->run->Winipcfg-> Find the adapter with the IP address and hit the release all button by doing that It will shut down the adapter and internet. to reconnect hit renew all.

Ok good luck with it. I know it can get annoying if you dont see the 2 compuers on the bottom. That should be the command winipcfg. works on windows 95, 98 and Me only
