Emails print out in tiny font

Can you help me?  I am an old woman in my eighties and will need the answer clearly explained.  Thank you.  My printer is a Hewlett Packard DeskJet 812C.  For over a year it printed out emails perfectly.  But now it always prints them in teeny-tiny font.  How can I get back to 10-pt. font again?  Can you give me a sequence of directions to correct this?  Thank you so much!

have you tried going into the hp control panel and reset your fonts?
