I have a new microphone that will not work on my computer, ive been through all the usual steps and i get no sound, the mic works on other computers not this one. wondering y? ne help ??

     rcov....... What operating system are you using on that pc ...and have you run the suggested sound tests using your mic......I would think you just need to set things up correctly .

    im using xp , and i went through the test hardware tests, the mic isnt coming up as plugged in but it works on another system , is their anywhere else to set up ???

    Have you messed with your sound settings (mixer) to try to increase the response, etc.?
