This is to Allen who recommended this imaging saving program to me. I looked it up and was getting ready to download it when it said it was only good for Linux, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Is there one for Windows 10 or 8?

I have been using Macrium Reflect Free for years on Windows 7 and 10. It is a really good idea to make a rescue disk or USB stick, which is easy to do from the Macrium Reflect GUI. In fact this is a must-do.

I make a backup every Saturday of my Windows system drive, and I rotate the image location among 3 different external or internal drives.

It works on workstation Windows XP or later, and Server 2003 or later.

There is no version of Macrium software that runs on Linux, although you can use the rescue disk to restore an image that contains Linux formatted partitions.
