     bigt...... How about telling us a bit more .....like what kind of a machine do you have ?
    Why was it necessary to press the reset button ?  Have you asked the mystery "someone" ?

      When you say there is no signal, is the monitor "On" actually? Mean does the monitor receive any power instead of signal?
      Have you try to reconnect the VGA cable?
      Have you try with another graphic card?
