Endless Install Windows XP
« on: August 10, 2004, 02:25:56 PM »
I went to re-install XP professional and I end up in an endless loop of it installing, I never get to the welcome screen, I just keep getting the initial install screens.  How do I fix this?

Do you use a recovery disk or an original XP Pro cd? If you were using recovery disk, it could be happen that you end up with some problems; because when my computer crashed, I tried several times to use my recovery disk to restore my computer but it didn't work, after I use my original XP cd then it did work. So why don't you try to install your XP Pro with the original XP Pro, and then install all drivers you need from your recovery disk. BUT, if you had already used the original XP cd, I have no idea what's wrong with your computer, it might be a hardware problem.
