I have an Acer laptop (Ryzen 5 2500U/8GB DDR4/256GB SSD/Windows 10 Home) that is stuck on the Acer logo splash screen.
I hadn't used it for several weeks and now it can't get past the Acer logo. Can't even see the Windows loading icon that used be displayed below the logo.
I tried all the troubleshooting actions that I could - keeping it ON for long time, restarting several times, battery reset, disconnecting & connecting internal components, checking if the internal fan works, and few other things that I might be missing here.
The laptop does go into BIOS, where I changed the boot sequence to format/reset via USB drive. The laptop detects USB drive in BIOS but it doesn't boot from the USB drive when I restart it. I think the only thing left to do here is BIOS reset, but that might also strip the preinstalled Windows 10 key.
Thus, before taking it to a computer store/technician, this post is my last resort.
TIA!
