That do not work. I already try that. The ATI video card requires the display adapter to be present. I need to restablish the dispalay adapters in the devise manager.

Did you try the ATI site for a newer driver that may have it's own install routine?

Yes, I try that and it didn't work. I call ATI and the answer was to go to the display adapter in the device manager. The words "Display Adapters" are not showing in Device Manager. What I need to do is get back the Display Adapters back in. When you open Device Manager the window display:

Computer
Disk Drives
Display Adapters
DVD/CD-ROM Drives

and so on, in my case, Display Adapters is missing. How do I fix this problem?

How about running the Add New Hardware wizard? That should turn it up.

That dosn't work either.
When I try to install new device, I see the ATI card with the yellow exclamation marks on it. At this point I can't do anything else. I can't unimstall, I can't do any of the resolution that they required.
To edit the register directly I need help in where to go and what to do.
thanks for all the help up to this point, I hope you can give me further advise.
