command prompt crash

Well, every single time i do a Run 'cmd' , my command prompt crashes within half a second. How do i fix this, its really bugging me. Thanks ahead of time.

    Try cmd.exe

    It seems to be working now, thanks for the reply. Ill post back if it goofs when i try what i need to do later. thanks again
