Help with identifying the moder number...
« on: February 05, 2006, 08:23:24 PM »
I recently got a Compaq Deskpro 2000 computer with no operating system install. I got no documentation or manuals of this computer. Since there's no operating system, I can't view specific information about the computer.  I'm trying to upgrade some of the computer's components but I need to know the model number of the computer in order to view specifications for this system..  How can I find the model number Defor this Compaq skpro 2000 computer?...

No plates on the outside cover or inside the cover :-?

Can you install an OS :-?

Lots of Compaq info here if you can settle on a model number

If it has an operating system you can download Belarc Advisor (free at belarc.com) and you will know much about it, including the model #. What processor and what are you trying to upgrade? You can get basic infor from the BIOS, F10 at bootup.
