Reformatting floppies??
« on: February 08, 2006, 06:59:57 PM »
Win XP (Home) SP.2

Am trying to copy for backup some floppy disks supplied by MS however the content of the floppies will not fit on a standard formatted floppy.  Some of the MS disks contain a file in excess of 1.6mb.  The format shown on the sticky label is "High-density (DMF)".  Can I reformat standard Double-sided High-density floppies to copy such a file?

When installing the program on the disks, the disks are called sequentially as in "Insert Disk_02 in A:" so guess backup must be on floppies.

Thanks.
