Can't install Windows XP professional
« on: February 08, 2006, 04:05:17 PM »
After i insert the CD, it says "Please Press any key to Boot from CD" and go to blue screen and after all of those drivers or hardware inspection, my computer just says "Setup is Starting Windows," and freezes.

Could it be wrong with hardware?

Any solution?

rcp1071..... Are you using an authentic original Win XP Pro cd or is it a copy ?
    Is the cd clean ........?

Try cleaning the disk and retrying ......
Why would you ask about a hardware issue ?

rcp1071.....  So just to recap..........  You have your boot sequence set to cd-rom 1st boot .......  then you put the Win XPpro disk in the cd-rom and then reboot ......... it begins to load and then locks up ?

I ngelected to ask ...but why was it necessary to re install XP pro ......?
