Please help, STACK OVERFLOW gone crazy****
« on: February 09, 2006, 09:42:33 PM »
Hi, my computer is going crazy especially tonight. I keep getting an error from Internet Explorer saying "stack overflow @ line (started with 351 and now it's all kind of numbers.) I am running Windows XP Home Edition with the service pack 2 on a 2 year old E Machine 10 gig HD and 256 mb ram. Can anyone help me please.

Thanks,

Carol

That's not good.  If removing and reinstalling IE doesn't work, you may be looking at a complete Windows reinstall.
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.

How would I do any of that? My computer came loaded, so I don't have the programs on disc.

Thanks,

An eMachine should have come with a restore disk.  Have you contacted them about this? I would.  ;)

Strange thing......tonight it has not done it ONE time! Last night was a lot more than usual. Maybe once or twice a week and it's usually the "@ line 351." What does that mean?? Stack overflow?

Thanks so much for your help, yes I do have the recovery disc.
