dual monitor lag
« on: September 16, 2021, 12:53:56 PM »
I just set up dual monitors and I lag horribly in games. Searching the net told me that because one is connected by DVI and one by HDMI that the issue is there. Running Windows 10 with an Nvidia 1050 Ti card. If I get an adapter for DVI to DP will that work? I can't connect them both the same way because the card only has 3 connections, all different (DVI, HDMI, DP). Help please and thank you in advance.

    1. does lag also represents only with one monitor?
    2. is the lag present during normal operation (browsing the net, word, excel...)?
    3. what kind of game are you running? is lag present in another game?
    4. i assume you updated the drivers for graphic card. so, if you lower the resolution in game, is lag still present?

    1. no lag with only one monitor in use
    2. no lag during normal operation (less graphic intense)
    3. MMORPG, and present in any graphic heavy game
    4. I haven't lowered the resolution, and prefer not to. Am hoping for a connection solution if possible.

    Thank you for  helping!

I have. They both work fine. I have found that I need to play games in windowed fullscreen vs just fullscreen and that works. It's not ideal, but it is acceptable. Thank you for your time and help :D
