Hello,
Today I received an email stating that my Google password had been changed. I subsequently went to log in and was unable to do so.
I tried to recover my account but the only steps available to me were:
1. Enter 8-digit backup code (I don't ever remember setting this up).
2. Get a verification code at ********29 (I didn't recognise the last digits - so it's not my telephone number)
3. Alternative email (but the alternative email is the
same email as the one that was hacked and the one I'm trying to sign into, so this is completely useless!).
When I click on "try another way", I get a "Google couldn’t verify this account belongs to you." message and that's it.
I tried calling Google but just got an automated "go online" ... "thanks for your call!" message from a man trying to be all uplifting and sexy
Is there any way I can get my account back?
