printer message says "offline"

I was a way for 3 months. When I came, my printer gave the message "offlie."
I hoping someone had a quick fix. I can't seem to get to much on googl.e

Are you connecting using Wireless or a USB cable ?

If wireless has there been any changes to the wireless network or was your wireless modem turned off while you were away. If so you may need to reinstall  the connection between the printer and your laptop.

I am using wireless and the computer and printer were turned off for 3 months.

Hi, Have you tried restarting the modem, it worked for me.

Restart all 3 devices...Modem...then PC... then printer

If the above suggestions don't work, use the printer setup to find your wifi connection and re-sign in.
