    Why did my valid w10 cd product key work during new installation then fail to activate in windows settings after updates?

    If the clean install was on the same hardware then this shouldn't have happened. If you have used the Key on other hardware then the key is not transferable.

      Thank you. Didn't know that. I'm sure I read I could use the cd on any one PC at a time.
