Operations Canceled
« on: February 20, 2006, 06:31:57 PM »
I am trying to load some new software.  When I put in the CD I get the following error message "operations canceled due to restricitions in effect on this computer.  Please contact your system administrator".  I got no ideas on this one as I am my own administrator.

Any thoughts?

DeathNebula.....You neglected to mention qhich O/S your using ....... But by your description , it sound like like your account doesn't have full admin rights ....... Check your user account and see if there are any limitations .....

I am sorry....I'm runnin XP....and I do have full admin rights.....I have loaded other software on this PC no problem.....I've seen some other threads on the net but they all address this issue from an Internet lin perspective....not a software load issue...

    Any advice is appreciated...

DeathNebula...  Can you tell us what software will not load ?
Are you able to install other software ?
Have you tried creating a new user with full admin rights and tried loading ?
By any chance does the software your attempting to load have region restrictions on it ?
