    Dial-up costs
    « on: February 21, 2006, 08:29:36 AM »
Does anyone know what the costs for dial-up are, based on how much is charged per minute?  I decided to fix a few problems on an old computer by connecting to the internet through dialup, and I was on the internet for 35 minutes.  That was a one-time-only connection, and it won't be made again.

This depends on what the price plan that you have join with your ISP
So tell us your PC model/spec and your ISP
It shouldnt cost that much if you go on it for half an hour

I'm not going to be concerned then.  I won't be accessing the internet from that computer again anyhow.  I uninstalled AOL from that computer.

If it's a UK PAYG provider you'll pay local call rates of I believe 1p, 1.5p or maybe 3p per minute depending on time of day.
