Disabling only SOME windows hotkeys
« on: September 30, 2023, 07:01:13 AM »
In x32Win10ProV22H2 I would like more keys available to put 'proprietory' links on (using Autohotkey). When I tried the method shown in
https://www.top-password.com/blog/disable-specific-windows-key-shortcut/ to free up keys-for-windows-shortcuts, there were keys for which that did not work. The method involved adding the letters I want to free up, to the 'value data' of Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Disabled Hotkeys. Is there a more reliable method ? Other methods I have tried, disable ALL Windows Hotkeys (I only want SOME disabled) and do not distinguish between the right and the left Win key (I want to keep most of the hotkeys that need the left-win key).

I do not need to free up keys after all, as Autohotkeys frees them up itself. I unwisely posted the question on an assumption without testing first.
