Computer problem, booting
« on: March 12, 2006, 07:42:23 PM »
Hi,

I am not usually computer illiterate, but this one just baffles the heck out of me.
I am only going to tell you the problem, I will not bore you with the actual story.

The dang computer won't boot, the lights flicker on and off, and nothing on the monitor, power supply gives this wierd buzzing noise.

I can assure you that my motherboard is fine, and also my PS

Please help!!!  :-?

Seriously, if there's a story behind this, it'll help immensely. What did you do to the PC prior to the buzzing?

Welcome to CH, by the way. :)

Without the story there can be no help. THings don't usually just "happen".

How can you be so sure the MB and the PSU are OK if the machine doesn't work?  :-?
