Batch File to Rename Network Computers
« on: March 22, 2006, 08:29:23 PM »
I am very new to the IT world and I have 100 computers to rename on my network.  I was told that you could potentially rename the computers using a batch file.  Is this possible if so can anyone give me some help with this.

Unless your PCs receive their names via DHCP, I think you were told wrong.

Yes, but are the PCs configured to take their names (within the domain) via DHCP?
