I just bought a computer that was reconsigned (I think thats what you call it when you buy something that was returned). Anyway when I go to some sites the images don't load or on some the links to download stuff don't work either.
this site here doesn't load right. Check it out then look at the picture I uploaded (sorry its so small... Photobucket shrunk it because it was too big, but you can get the idea of how messed up it looks for me)
http://www.xbox-skins.net/Or there is this site:
When I click on the "Download Now" it goes to another screen that says this:

In order to keep people from making direct links to maps in our map database we check the http_referer header sent by your browser to verify you are following a link from our website whenever you download a map.
In most cases this method works fine - but some Norton Users have reported having trouble when trying to download maps from our site.
The following steps should solve the problem and allow you to download maps from the site without compromising your system security.
* open up your norton internet security firewall software..
* choose options..
* choose the internet security option
* in the dialog box that pops up choose advanced options..
* click the add site button..
* add dfbarracks.com
* highlight dfbarracks in the list then choose the privacy tab
* under browsing privacy area.. change referer to permit
* make sure the checkbox for use these rules for dfbarracks.com is checked.
If you follow the above steps Norton will allow your PC to pass the http_referrer along to our site without compromising your system security in any way. This will not alter the behaviour of Norton Internet Security Firewall for any other sites that you use.

I don't have norton installed so what could be the problem.
And on Gamespot.com I can't watch any of the game trailers.
I have tried these sites on firefox and on internet explore and they won't load.
I hope someone can help.
Edit: I have windows XP Service pack 2.
