Outlook Express 'Directory Service'
« on: March 27, 2006, 07:46:00 AM »
I'm having a problem with my OE (6.0) hanging on one particular account, which looks right, but anyway...

As I was tinkering, I found FOUR different "services" listed under "Directory Service"... Do I need 'em for anything? They sound a little fishy...
Dan: You're gonna need to get someone to fix my computer.                     Kim: What's wrong with it?                     Dan: It's in several pieces on my floor.

You almost certainly don't need them.  If you need them, you'll know about it.
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.

"Directory Service"...    Oh, you mean the yellow pages, right?  And, you've got that in OE, right?  I've used OE for years.  That's a new one to me.

OK.  I've never really paid any attention to that part of OE and I have no clue what the items listed under Directory Service are for.  I also have four in my OE.  Maybe they're standard ones loaded by default.  I use OE for newsgroups as well as email; now that I think about it, I have looked at Directory Service and wondered what it was but never investigated further.
