can not connect to the internet

I just got a ADSL modem and have been trying connecting to the internet to no avail.I have windows XP pro. installed on my labtop Medion 6200. On my gerate manager(german) there is a yellow exclamation sign .I don`t know what tis means .can anyone help me? :-?

You need to make sure that you have the correct drivers for the device installed. Also, do you have broadband access from yourt ISP? If you haven't paid for broadband, you won't have it.
