I Have A lan card from my old computer which is a gateway with windows ME and I want to put this lan card into my new Gateway computer but it has Windows XP. I Don't know if this will work in my new computer without messing it up.

    Genesis......   If it's a PCI  ethernet card it should fit given your new Gateway has PCI slots ....... you may have to install the correct driver , but I would put it in and see if Win xp sees it and installs a driver .
