I NEED HELP ON USB PORTS!!

I haven't installed the usb software in my computer.  I lost the CD and now I don't know what to do.  Is there any free software that could install the usb ports? my motherboard is a MSI K8n Neo2 and my case is a Centurion 5 cac-t05.   :-?  I WANT TO PUT SONGS ON MY IPOD SHUFFLE,  it doesn't detect it or my digi camera!!!  Help,  the ports I have are 2.0 so I don't know what that meanS

     Inuyasha...... have you been to your mobo's site ? You should be able to D/l that info there .

    I check and it gives me nothing and I am stump on what to do.  I pick some drivers and they don't work or they are wrong

      Inuyasha....  I'm assuming your using win XP ...so go to control panel /system
      then in the system properties box click Hardware tab ....then click Device Manager ........ then scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on the + in front of USB Controllers  .... this will expand and you will see the USB items that are seen ...... click on each of then one at a time and see if it says they are working or if there is a yellow exclamation mark .
      Report the results and we can proceed .

        Inuyasha....  could you please open up your device manager and when its open scroll down to the bottom and take as screen shot of it and post it here .
        How many USB port do you have ?  Are they onboard ( built into the mobo ) or were they added later ?

        my attachment is too big?!?!

        In my device manager it says

        Computer
        Disk drives
        display adapters
        dvd/cd-rom drives
        floppy disk controllers
        floppy dis drives
        IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers
        keyboards
        Mice and other pointing devices
        monitors
        Network adapters
        NVDIA Network bus Enumerator
        Port (COM & LPT)
        Processors
        Sound, Video and game controllers
        system devices

        Thats it.

           Inuyasha.....   ok , that confirms things ..... Go into the bios ....... I dont think you have the USB controller enabled ....... check it out .  Go to the integrated periphials...... the setting should be there .
