    I've downloaded movie as .AVI, do I have to convert it to any other form or will I proceed to burn it to dvd-R as is?  Will the dvd player read it?  Thanks. :-/

    I think you have to convert it to svcd or something.  I'm pretty sure a regular dvd player won't play .avi.  This site will answer all your questions re dvd.. http://www.videohelp.com/
